i. The flight path of an aircraft in glide, as seen from the side.
ii. The glide slope (i.e., the path used by an aircraft-in-approach procedure generated by an instrument landing facility).
iii. An aircraft on a PAR (precision approach radar) approach is instructed by ATC (air traffic control) to approach “above the glide path,” “on the glide path,” or “below the glide path.”
iv. A descent profile determined for vertical guidance during a final approach (ICAO).
v. In parachuting, the descent angle through the air along which the parachute descends.
